Zusammenfassung: Radial force is the major origin of acoustic noise in switched reluctance machines. This reduction of noise and vibration can be done by reducing the ratio of harmonics in the fourier spectrum of the radial force. A mathematical analysis leads to an optimization problem that can be solved by the help of genetic algorithms. The resulting radial force is impressed by current shaping.
